City is surrounded with mountains and cliffs that arises straight from the Adriatic sea. Those mountains and cliffs aren't very high, but they are beautiful, and when you are on the top of them you have a great view on the Omis, canyon of the river Cetina and middle Dalmatian islands.

The most beautiful climb to the top starts at the Omis and leads first to a fortress Starigrad (Fortica). This part of the route is very attractive, but steep and strenuous as it is actually cut into the rock. Hiking on the Omis Dinara

The route then descends to the village Borak, and at the abandoned village Cecuci begins a steep climb along the edge of the rock, partly in the shade of pine trees. On several occasions it is opened exceedingly beautiful view of the Poljicka mountain, a mountain which canyon of the river Cetina separates from mountain Omis Dinara. Very nice natural phenomenon!

At almost every destination of the Omis Riviera(also in Dalmatia) there is a dusty and mountain route that leads to the top of the branch of the mountain Omis Dinara that connects to mountain Biokovo. And for those who thinks that hiking is an exhausting recreation, there is a dusty road at elevation of almost 200 meters that leads from Stanici to Marusici which is great for mountain biking and trekking in countryside.
